Sadaharitha sponsors the International Forestry and Environment Symposium...

We are very proud to be a main sponsor of the 16th International Forestry and Environment Symposium organised by the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. This is the only symposium of its kind which is continuously organised by the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science over last 16 years. In collaboration with this event, we become a part of the community who works in the forestry and environment sectors, not only Sri Lanka, but also all over the world. As we were told by the organisers, there are over 30 foreign scientists to participate for this event which is held on 28th and 29th of this month. With Dr. Upul Subasinghe, a pioneer forester working on Sandalwood in Sri Lanka, we were also able to bring two of his collaborative Australian scientists, Mr. Benjamin Sawyer and Mr. Dhanushka Hettiarachchi for this event. They work directly with Australian Sandalwood in silviculture and oil extraction. These two scientists will also address Sadaharitha staff on the 2nd and 5th of November.
