Sadaharitha supports university level research.

Sadaharitha Plantations Limited sponsored two research projects, i.e., "Seedling establishment and variation of oil content of Indian sandalwood" and "Growth of young teak plants under different treatments". Those two research projects were conducted at the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura by 4th year special degree students named Ms. Manuri Gamage and Mr. Madhushan Lankathillake under the supervision of Dr. Upul Subasinghe who is also a Senior Lecturer in the above Department. By realising the value and the scientific approach, both research projects were awarded "Grade A" passes by an examination board comprised of experts in various disciplines. In order to enhance the quality, the Company already started applying their valuable findings in own sandalwood and teak plantations.
